When you look at that question make sure you are understanding what it really is asking. Are you living for Christ? It's not about what I need to do to live for Christ because He laid it all out by what He did on the cross. Galatians 2:20 says this; I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
What do you see? What is the first thing you see in this scripture? Who does I represent? What I see is that I have been crucified with Christ. There is no, I have to do this or that or I have to be this way and act this way but it says that I (you) have been crucified with Christ. Even though He went through all the pain, beatings and being nailed to the cross, (He paid a debt He didn't owe, I owed a debt I couldn't pay) He said I have been (included in with) crucified with Him. Christ became sin (2Nd Cor 5:21)and took everything to the grave. It goes on to say that I (you) know longer live but Christ lives in me. Col. 2:9&10 says that He is the fullness of the Godhead. He is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit and He (Christ) lives in me. If Christ lives in me and He is the fullness of the Godhead what does that make me? Because He is in me I am the fullness of the Godhead and if He is the same yesterday, today and forevermore, why would He change, just because He is in me? I don't change Christ He changes me. Colossians 2:9&10 continues to say that I am complete in Him. It was finished at the cross. I don't have to do anything more in my life because He finished it. All Jesus would say when He ministered was do you believe. What does the Word say who Jesus was? If you know the Word it says that He is all that you need. Again He makes you complete.
Gal. 2:20 continues to say that and remind us that the life we live in the flesh now is, who we are, what we do, what the scriptures say we are and what we know is finished. We won because He finished what was needed to be finished at the cross. We live in faith what the word says who we are, remembering we no longer live but He lives in us. He is who we are and we are who He is. Hebrews 11:1 says; Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
So as we ask that question again; Are you living for Christ or are you living in the flesh? Are you believing He is all you need ( Phil 4:13) or worried He won't provide? Are you thinking the things you do wrong will keep you from Him or do you believe that He sympathizes (Heb. 4:15) with your weaknesses and if you come boldly to the Throne Of Grace you will obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need? Are you working hard to become righteous or are you believing that because He is righteousness (2 Cor. 5:21) and is in you, you already are? Do you feel that you don't deserve anything or do you believe that because of Christ, (Gal. 3:29) you are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise. Are you being controlled in a church, some leader or are you being able to worship Him the way (2 Cor. 3:17) He wants you too.
To live for Christ is suppose to be easy but we make it hard. If we can understand and ask the Lord for revelation on who we are it will be easy. Everything has been done and is in us. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you and I. Praise The Lord! We are righteous. We are Strong. We are rich. We are healthy. We are who He said we should be because of Him.
Deborah and I pray that God would bless and pour out His revelation so you would know who you are and know that He is already at the end of whatever situation you are going through. You have won because He sits at the throne of grace interceding for you and He has sent you the Holy Spirit for strength and power. You have the authority over all principalities and power because you no longer live in the flesh but Christ lives in you. You need to walk with your heads up high for you are a child of the living God.
Blessings & Love,
John & Deb
